Player’s Code of Conduct

Treat coaches, team mates, and opponents with respect.

Play hard but within the rules of the game of soccer.

Keep control of your temper.

Respect the referee and accept their decisions without gesture or argument

Win without boasting, lose without excuses.

Never quit.

Remember it is a privilege to represent your soccer club.
Parent’s Code of Conduct

Be on your best behavior. Don’t use profanities or harass players, coaches, referees, or other spectators.

Do not coach the team players, including your own child, from the sidelines during the game.

Applaud good plays.

Show respect for your team’s opponents.

Never ridicule or scold a child for making a mistake during a competition or practice session.

ABSOLUTELY NO VIOLENCE OF ANY FORM.

Respect the referees and their decisions. If there is a disagreement with a referee’s call please discuss it with the coach. Under no circumstances should parents directly engage the referees (this includes heckling and shouting from the sidelines).

Encourage players to always play according to the rules.

Communicate with your coach and create a positive, supportive working relationship.
Parent’s Role

Provide transportation to and from all practices and games. Respect your coach’s time: be punctual in arrival and pickup of your player.

When possible, stay and watch practices as well as games and lend players your support in a positive manner. Do not point out their mistakes or criticize – leave team and player management up to the coach. Support your child’s efforts as well as their accomplishments.

If unable to attend the practice or game, teach children not to talk with or leave practices or games with strangers. Let the coach know if your child is riding with someone else.

Ensure your player brings equipment to and from all soccer games and practices.
